The Ellinwood Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization, dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of our local communities, through the support of Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic and its cooperating organizations.

Through cultivating private donations and educating the public, Ellinwood Hospital Foundation contributes to the on-going success of Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic by supporting improvement projects, equipment, and programs benefiting patients and the community.

The Foundation is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, selected from our local communities.

The Board is diligent in its duty to provide charitable stewardship for gifts to the Foundation. The Trustees develop investment strategies and policies for the Foundation and ensure that donor designations are upheld.

The Board makes charitable gifts to Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic, based on considerations from Hospital Administration and the Hospital Board of Trustees. The Foundation Board also manages endowments for cooperating organizations, such as the Ellinwood Emergency Medical Service (EMS).

The Ellinwood Hospital Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization established in 1987 as the Area Health Care Foundation.

For years, a volunteer Board of Trustees directed and managed monetary gifts to best meet the healthcare needs of the Hospital's patients by funding equipment purchases, scholarships, service fairs, and community education initiatives. The legacy of many generous donors was stewarded to leave a lasting impact.

In 2015, the Foundation's Board of Trustees recognized the need to grow the Foundation in order to better support the healthcare needs of their family, friends, and neighbors. The Foundation reorganized as the Ellinwood Hospital Foundation, making it easier to identify the mission and cause the Foundation supports: the entire health of our local communities, through the services and programs offered at Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic.

The name changed, but the main purpose and goal did not. With the help of a newly-appointed Executive Director, the Foundation continues to grow and strengthen the Hospital.

Generous donors and community-minded individuals support the Ellinwood Hospital Foundation, and we are grateful for the impact they have, today, and into the future.
