OUR RICH HISTORY

The Ellinwood Hospital Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization established in 1987 as the Area Health Care Foundation.

For years, a volunteer Board of Trustees directed and managed monetary gifts to best meet the healthcare needs of the Hospital's patients by funding equipment purchases, scholarships, service fairs, and community education initiatives. The legacy of many generous donors was stewarded to leave a lasting impact.

In 2015, the Foundation's Board of Trustees recognized the need to grow the Foundation in order to better support the healthcare needs of their family, friends, and neighbors. The Foundation reorganized as the Ellinwood Hospital Foundation, making it easier to identify the mission and cause the Foundation supports: the entire health of our local communities, through the services and programs offered at Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic.

The name changed, but the main purpose and goal did not. With the help of a newly-appointed Executive Director, the Foundation continues to grow and strengthen the Hospital.

Generous donors and community-minded individuals support the Ellinwood Hospital Foundation, and we are grateful for the impact they have, today, and into the future.
