Hospital Auxiliary hosts annual fall luncheon

The Ellinwood District Hospital Auxiliary is hosting their annual fall luncheon on Tuesday, October 27, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at St. Joseph Parish Center. The cost is $8 per plate, and carry-out service is available. Raffle chances will be sold to win great prizes donated from generous individuals and businesses from around the community.

Each year, the Auxiliary hosts the community luncheon in the fall, complete with roast turkey, dressing, potatoes, vegetables, salads, bread, and desserts. The Preceptor Delta Zeta Sorority provides the desserts.

“We really want the community to join us,” explains Joy Schlochtermeier, Auxiliary president. “This is a chance for Ellinwood and the surrounding area to learn about the Auxiliary and its mission.” The Auxiliary supports Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic by providing monetary support for equipment upgrades and provides scholarships to local students.

The Community Blood Drive is also scheduled immediately following the luncheon, from 2-7pm, and the Auxiliary invites the public to participate in both events.
