As flu season approaches, Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic is committed to keeping our community informed and healthy. Dr. Christopher Brown, M.D., recently shared important advice in a video about how families can protect themselves during influenza season.
Dr. Brown emphasized three key steps to reducing your risk:
Wash your hands regularly to prevent the spread of germs.
Avoid close contact with individuals who are sick.
Get your flu shot — the most effective way to protect yourself and your loved ones.
Flu shots are available at the Ellinwood Clinic during all normal business hours, including our Walk-In Clinic hours beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. No appointment is needed.
The flu vaccine is recommended for nearly everyone 6 months and older. Those at higher risk for complications include children under 5, adults over 65, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic conditions.
