Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic to host Lab Fair Oct. 17
Affordable testing available without a provider’s order

ELLINWOOD, Kan. — Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic will host its Lab Fair on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 7 to 9 a.m. at the hospital, 300 N. Park Ave., offering area residents convenient access to affordable laboratory testing close to home.
No provider’s order is required. Through Direct Access Lab Testing, participants can select individual tests to learn more about their health and discuss the results with their healthcare provider.
Options include complete blood counts, comprehensive metabolic panels, cholesterol testing, glucose and hemoglobin A1C testing, iron panels, and thyroid tests such as TSH and free T4. Additional options include PSA screening, magnesium, uric acid, and urine testing. Descriptions of the available tests are provided on the hospital’s Direct Access Lab Testing webpage.
Testing is performed in-house at Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic. Results are mailed to participants within 48 business hours. Results are not automatically forwarded to a healthcare provider; participants are responsible for sharing their results and arranging any needed follow-up.
Direct Access Lab Testing is available to adults ages 18 and older. Payment is due at the time of service, and insurance is not billed. Some tests may require fasting, so participants should review preparation instructions before attending.
