EHC Welcomes Shelbi Frees, APRN

Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic welcomes Shelbi Frees, APRN to the team. Shelbi will be caring for members of the community from all ages. She strives to create a compassionate environment to be able to watch the progress of her patients and growing with them.
Shelbi is focused on preventive health care with a focus in pediatrics and women's health. Shelbi is local to Ellinwood and is passionate about caring for the community that she was raised in. She hopes to give back to Ellinwood in a way that creates lasting relationships with a strong foundation of trust and communication.
Shelbi graduated from Barton CC with her Associates in Nursing in 2015, Wichita State University with her Bachelors in Nursing in 2018 and recently graduated from Spring Arbor Michigan with her MSN in 2023! We are excited to have her. She has wanted to be a provider since pre-k and shows up passionately to work daily.
It's always nice when a local healthcare place gets someone new who actually cares about patients. I saw that EHC recently welcomed Shelbi Frees as an APRN and it caught my attention because finding good providers around here has been such a struggle lately. We switched our family's primary care twice in the past couple years and it makes such a difference when you find someone who actually listens. My kids are especially nervous around medical professionals so having someone with a warm approachable style matters more than people realize.
