ELLINWOOD, Kan. — Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic is launching a limited-time community initiative designed to help patients reduce outstanding medical debt and ease financial burdens for local families.
During June 2026, qualifying patients may receive a 40% reduction on eligible outstanding account balances when payment is made in full between June 1 and June 30, 2026.

Hospital leadership says the initiative reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the community, both inside and outside the walls of the hospital and clinic.
“We know many families are working hard to balance healthcare needs with rising everyday expenses,” said Summer Zink, Chief Financial Officer at Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic. “This initiative is about giving patients an opportunity to move forward, reduce financial stress, and continue prioritizing their health and healthcare needs.”
Hospital officials say the program comes at a time when many households continue facing financial pressures related to inflation, healthcare expenses, and the rising cost of living.
Patients interested in participating are encouraged to:
Contact the billing office at (620) 564-2548
Request an updated reduced payoff balance
Submit payment in full anytime between June 1 and June 30, 2026
The opportunity excludes accounts already placed with a collection agency, as well as swingbed room and board charges.
“This is ultimately about supporting our community,” Zink said. “As a rural healthcare provider, we care deeply about the people we serve and want to provide solutions that can help families move forward.”
The Account Resolution Opportunity is intended to be a one-time courtesy initiative and may not be offered again in the future. Hospital officials encourage eligible patients to contact the billing office before the June 30 deadline to learn more.
